Description

Deep Funding organizes projects into periodic rounds. Participants can submit proposals for the current round which eventuallly will be voted on by community to be awarded funds. You can also view the projects that have been awarded funds

Detailed Idea

Alignment with DF goals (BGI, Platform growth, community)

Problem description

Frequent insecurity incidents like kidnapping and banditry in Northern Nigeria, especially in Sokoto and Zamfara, cause loss of lives, displacement, and delayed response due to weak communication between communities and security agencies. There is a need for a faster, data-driven way to report and visualize incidents in real time.

Proposed Solutions

The system enables communities to report incidents through a mobile app or SMS. Reports are converted to structured data, mapped with GPS location, and sent to security personnel in real time. Alerts trigger visual and sound notifications for quick response. Data is stored for analysis and decision support to prevent future attacks.
