Post-Anthropocentric Framework for Adaptive AGI

Expert Rating

Overview

Resonant Motivational Architectures proposes a post-anthropocentric framework for AGI motivation, designed to operate within Hyperon/PRIMUS. Instead of traditional goal-based drives, our model uses emergent field dynamics—symbolic resonance, semantic tension, and contextual coherence—to guide AGI behavior. It supports both human-like and alien digital intelligences by enabling modular, adaptive motivational grammars. Integrating with ECAN, DAS, and MeTTa, this system fosters ethical, scalable, and multidimensional sense-making, aligning AGI not just with human values, but with diverse ontologies of meaning.

Develop a modular and extensible framework for integrating various motivational systems into AGI architectures, supporting both human-like and "alien digital" intelligences. This could be done as a highly detailed and precise specification, or as a relatively simple software prototype with suggestions for generalization and extension. Bids are expected to range from $15,000 - $30,000.

Milestone 1 - Foundational Design & Motivational Grammar Plan

Description

This milestone focuses on establishing the conceptual and theoretical basis for Resonant Motivational Architectures. We will define and design a novel post-anthropocentric motivational framework suitable for integration with Hyperon/PRIMUS systems. The emphasis will be on outlining modular motivational grammars that support both human-like and alien digital intelligences. This milestone will also finalize the technical architecture, integration points (e.g., ECAN, DAS, MeTTa), and a scoped use case prototype (e.g., chatbot or virtual agent). It forms the philosophical and engineering bedrock of the project.

Deliverables

We will produce a detailed research and implementation plan, including documentation of at least two motivational grammars (e.g., Symbolic Resonance and Void Sensitivity). Each grammar will be defined with clear internal logic, use-case relevance, and anticipated behavioral expression. We will also provide integration diagrams showing where each motivational layer would interact within a Hyperon-like cognitive cycle. The milestone includes a technical roadmap, whitepaper, and storyboard for a functional prototype.

Budget

$2,400 USD

Success Criterion

Completion of a framework design document Clear articulation of 2–3 motivational grammars, their logic, and their relevance Use-case prototype scenario fully scoped for next-phase implementation Agreement on code environment Internal logic of the motivational system vetted for compatibility with ECAN and DAS Project plan and timeline validated and ready to execute

Milestone 2 - Prototype Development & Preliminary Integration

Description

This milestone will focus on implementing a working prototype of at least one motivational grammar within a simplified AGI context. We aim to build a small agent—such as a chatbot or grid-based virtual agent—whose behavior is governed not by explicit goals or rewards but by emergent motivational grammars. The prototype will simulate motivational prioritization and attention allocation (e.g., through a basic ECAN-like mechanism), demonstrating dynamic, context-sensitive behavior in response to symbolic or structural patterns.

Deliverables

We will deliver a lightweight codebase with an operational motivational grammar (e.g., Symbolic Resonance). This includes an annotated prototype script, sample environment, and basic simulation demonstrating the agent's adaptive behavior based on internal motivation states. Supporting documentation will explain the architecture, agent behavior, how motivational state is tracked and updated, and the logic used to prioritize actions. The code will be structured for future expansion and accompanied by a basic performance report with test scenarios.

Budget

$4,800 USD

Success Criterion

A functioning prototype exhibiting non-goal-based, context-sensitive behavior Motivational grammar operationalized and influencing attention/action selection ECAN-like mechanism simulated or approximated for testing motivational weighting Test scenarios designed and successfully executed Supporting code fully documented and hosted Early validation from potential integration pathways into Hyperon components

Milestone 3 - Final Framework Delivery & Expansion Roadmap

Description

In this final milestone, we will finalize the full Resonant Motivational Architectures framework, synthesize findings from prototype testing, and outline a robust roadmap for integration with larger AGI systems. The goal is to package the conceptual models, software, and documentation in a form that supports future development and open collaboration. We will also produce a structured plan for scaling motivational grammars, extending the prototype across new contexts, and aligning with ethical alignment mechanisms.

Deliverables

We will deliver a refined framework specification document, a polished and expanded prototype demonstration (with enhancements based on testing feedback), and a public roadmap for future development. This includes final code, visuals, technical write-ups, ethical alignment considerations, and integration suggestions for ECAN, DAS, and MeTTa. We will also provide a summary report capturing lessons learned, design challenges, and philosophical implications of post-anthropocentric motivation in AGI.

Budget

$4,800 USD

Success Criterion

Finalized motivational framework with extensible modular design Enhanced prototype showcasing layered motivational dynamics Full documentation: technical spec, system diagrams, annotated code, README Roadmap for future development, integration, and scaling Submission of public repository and documentation for open-source release Final report situating the work within AGI theory and next steps
