Using the MeTTa Language, develop a simple emotion recognition system which will run in the Atomspace of OpenCog Hyperon
This would align with ASI Alliance goals as stated in A.2.6 Toward Beneficial ASI of the ASI Alliance Vision Paper: "The underlying AI systems must have capability for moral reflection and deep understanding of themselves and others."
It is my contention that to be able to morally reflect and have deep understanding, this entity (s) would need to actually be able to experience human emotions.
Emotional Intelligence (including Emotional Embodiment) would solve the AI Alignment with Human Values predicament. I am very aware of the Ethical Dilemmas in this area and am working toward the necessary discussions of the Ecosystem. However, this should still be developed at this time even if never put into practical application.

UPDATE: I have reconsidered my position on this ideation after determining the SNet Benvolent ASI will be a planetary-sized system which would make it impossible for it to experience emotions as it would cause a great existential or at the very least, great harm to Earth and humanity.My redirection is now with the integration of Darshana Patel's IoNation Resonance Framework https://github.com/turnyourion which assigns frequencies to English words ending in 'ion' in order to reason the intended intensity of the context. It will be dynamically used in OpenCog Hyperon, it may be called a few times at different end points also due to the Quantum Neural Network (Toridion- Scot Forshaw, CTO) currently in the integration onboarding process; assissted by me.
