Project details

LATAM @SingularityNET Community Second Phase ‘The Expansion’

For this Second Phase we are visualizing a more ambitious expansion. Results are on the table, LATAM is thriving with creativity and a high-spirited entrepreneurship.  Having already designed the bases of the narrative structure, in this expansion phase we intend to create a more dynamic and audiovisual-driven content that will probably attract wider audiences. We will maintain basic operations in our social media and website and still be publishing one article per week with latest news and updates from the SingularityNET ecosystem and Deep Funding program, but allocate and duplicate budget for more commercially-driven content. The intention in this expansionary phase will be widening our horizons and onboard Brazil and the Portuguese-speaking Community.

For this effort, we will expand our team. Guillermo Lucero will be leading the overall operations, administrative structure and visual and audiovisual content, Inés Gaviña will be leading the general content guidelines and producing every written content, Ana Paula Pereira will be responsible for creating basic operations in Brazil and Portuguese-speaking Community first phase.  We will open a call and add an audiovisual expert that can help us with that.

We are also ideating for this Second Phase, an educational and promotional event in alliance with Fingurú, social-media expert with more than 200 followers, and one of the most important platforms in democratizing access to information and communication in LATAM. The objective will be crafting together a physical and educational event for 70/100 students, business and political references, in one of the most relevant Universities of Buenos Aires, yet to be determined.

  • Maintenance of communication operations:

We will continue our multi-platform outreach efforts about SingularityNET actions. The current structure will be continued, featuring different SingularityNET ecosystems, spinoffs, and Deep Funding’s news and updates with their respective posts and blogs on Medium, LinkedIn, X. We will strengthen our generation of audiovisual content and continue developing our @youtube channel with @SNET_Latam Town Halls biweekly, a place for interviews, promotion about the ecosystem, products and spinoffs, WorkShops and News. Updating the@SNET_Latam landing page with relevant content daily and continuously, including new features and sections on where we aim to engage the community and onboard talented individuals to our LATAM Ambassadors Program.

  • Carry out Governance experiments and collaborative work with the Global Ethics initiative with the LATAM Community working side by side with the new Ambassadors LATAM Guild.

  • Expansion to Brazil:

Onboarding Brazil into SingularityNET LATAM's main operations. This will involve conducting in-depth research on the state of AI and blockchain development in the country. For this task, we have invited Ana Paula Pereira from the Celeste Ai team, an awarded project in DFR3, to participate and assist us in the challenge of reaching out to the Brazilian community. We have previously collaborated with her as a team during the first @DeepFunding TownHalls, where she played a fundamental role in promoting this fourth round, and her ability to work has been crucial to the success of our initiatives.

We'll develop and execute a content and communication strategy across digital media and our social media platforms to engage enthusiasts, professionals, and students in the country's technology sector. We'll replicate the successful approach from our first phase, focusing on forming alliances with startup ecosystems and universities. Through these partnerships, we'll continue to promote SingularityNET's mission and purpose, its ecosystem, and invite developers in the country to participate in future editions of the @DeepFunding program.

  • Local event ‘SingularityNET Building AI as a Common Good’. Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The experience of participating in the BGI24 Summit has imparted a unique lesson to our core team and has inspired us to replicate the experience on a smaller scale in a local edition. The objective will be to organize a one-day event in collaboration with a local private sector university, under the theme "SingularityNET Building AI as a Common Good." We will work together with a panel of experts to explore areas such as Ethics, Decentralized Governance of common goods, Regulations, and we will organize activities and workshops related to the evolution of AI and its impact on society. The target audience will consist of a maximum of 150 individuals from the academic field, students, AI and blockchain development enthusiasts, as well as personalities from legislative and political spheres. To ensure results aligned with SingularityNET's needs and standards, we have developed a strategic alliance with Fingurú, an established media and e-learning platform.

Our team

Our core team members have proven their ability to deliver. We will be expanding the scope therefore the tasks and the team will continue to grow supported by the LATAM ambassador program, voted and approved by the SNET Ambassadors community, selecting and adding members in Brazil and the different countries where we will be landing with our actions, to cover the necessary, continue strengthening ties and building bridges in the LATAM region for SingularityNET.

This project is going to be awesomely executed

Ine and Guille demonstrated time and time again what their minds and passion are capable of.

The project for "expansion" is going to be a very good complemet to what they are doing now with the town halls and the creation of the latam community. Go LATAM! And go Ine and Guille!

Project has potential but requires careful plan.

The LATAM @SingularityNET Community Expansion project has potential but requires careful planning and execution. Focusing on building a strong community in Brazil, creating engaging content, and measuring outcomes can increase the project's value. Collaboration with local partners and tailoring content for the Brazilian audience are crucial for success.

This project proposes expanding the LATAM SingularityNET community by onboarding Brazil, using audiovisual content, and hosting events. Here's a breakdown of its strengths and weaknesses:

    Feasibility:

    • Moderate: Expanding to a new country (Brazil) and creating audiovisual content require additional resources and expertise.
    • Strengths: The project builds upon existing infrastructure and has a dedicated team with some new recruitment.
    • Weaknesses: Finding an audiovisual expert and securing partnerships for events might pose challenges.

    Viability:

    • Moderate: Success depends on attracting new members, achieving engagement goals, and securing funding for the expansion.
    • Strengths: The project offers a clear strategy for Brazil and leverages existing successful methods.
    • Weaknesses: Competition from other AI communities in LATAM and Brazil exists. Demonstrating the long-term value proposition is crucial.

    Desirability:

    • Moderate: The project offers valuable resources and events for the LATAM AI community, but may need adjustments for Brazil.
    • Strengths: The focus on education, events, and fostering a common good aligns with SingularityNET's mission.

Here are some challenges to address:

    • Securing resources and expertise for creating high-quality audiovisual content and expanding to a new country (Brazil).
    • Tailoring content and communication strategies to effectively engage the Brazilian audience.
    • Demonstrating the long-term value proposition of the community for attracting new members and securing funding for continued operation.

This team introduced me to SingularityNet!

A few months ago, I knew nothing about SingularityNet and its ecosystem. The impact of the first phase of this proposal has been so significant that I am now presenting an idea with my team.

Inés is a pioneering woman who has exceptionally well-directed the expansion of the proposal in Latin America. Proof of this is the increase in the number of proposals coming from this region. The advice, feedback, and support we have received from this wonderful team have been the necessary encouragement and push for us to dare to build. I am confident that this project will continue to have a great impact in the coming months

Timeframe for the most important phase

According to the author, what is the most important stage in the process of implementing this proposal? At what milestone is it located? At that most important stage, I recommend that a specific time frame be established so that the community can conveniently follow the implementation process. Or if the time frame is built for all 3 milestones, that is even better. I would like to note that at the proposal completion stage, the time should be accurate, according to the set plan. Additionally, seeing this proposal have a clear, positive impact for the wider community and the SNET ecosystem is great. I appreciate what the team has done.

Detail the amount at each milestone

First, I commend the feasibility and thoughtful preparation of the work that needs to be done. This is one of the suggestions that I highly recommend.
At the milestones, they are certainly in the process of continuing to be completed, needing more time to add details, if any. At the present time, I still advise the team to further divide the budget, specifically presenting the tasks along with the costs to carry out that work in the clearest way, instead of just calculating the total amount. money at each milestone like now. I think this is a good way to affirm transparency and reasonable use of funding sources.
I hope the team sees my feedback in a positive way, I just want to make it even better.

Member identification & references should be added

Hello Inesgav. I know you are a reputable person in the high-tech field and it was a pleasure to read your proposal today. The proposal focuses on expanding the operating community to Brazil, this is a very necessary activity and could have been done before. This proposal responds very well to scaling and problem solving of the SNET ecosystem, in fact it clearly defines the problem to be solved and offers a suitable solution. From then on, I highly appreciated the feasibility of this proposal.
The team has the ability to successfully implement this proposal, although currently only 3 people have appeared (one person, Anapp.Ramirez, does not have a profile picture yet - adding a profile picture as soon as possible is the advice of I).
Everything is quite good, one more small thing I want to suggest is that the team should have more related documents for readers to refer to. That way they will trust you more - especially when they first approach the author.
