We are seeking individuals to lead and manage Deep Funding Community Hub initiatives. These initiatives aim to establish and foster decentralized Deep Funding Communities centered around specific topics or areas of interest where a dedicated community would be valuable.

Examples of potential hubs include:

  • Sustainability Community Hub
  • Women in AI Community Hub
  • Africa Community Hub
  • Asia Community Hub
  • French-Speaking Hub.
  • Among many other options

The primary objective of these Community Hubs is to expand Deep Funding in a decentralized way. This involves engaging new members, providing information, sharing best practices for submitting funding proposals and building strong, collaborative communities. Regular online meetings will also be an integral part of these initiatives to connect, grow, and support the community.

Milestone 1 - Launch & Community Building (Months 1–2)

Description

Objective: Establish LitSphere’s foundation, onboard members, and host inaugural events. 1. Books & Giveaways: $1,050 a.150 physical books (5/unit): $750 b. Shipping: $300 (local pickup). 2. Event Logistics: $800 a. Themed Afrofuturism Launch Event: $450 (DIY props + volunteer support). b. Hybrid Tech Setup: $200 (mic rental + Zoom). c. Catering (light snacks): $150. d. Marketing: $700 e. Influencer Collabs (1 partner): $500. f. Social Media Ads: $200. g. Platform Maintenance: $400 h. Website Hosting: $200. i. Discord Setup: $200 (student volunteer stipends). j. Contingency: $65 (2% of milestone budget).

Open Mic Nights: $300 (featured spots + snacks). b. Hybrid Workshop: $450 (AI/Web3 storytelling session). 3. Marketing: $800 a. Influencer Collabs (1 partner): $500. b. Graphic Design: $300 (reusable templates). 4. Prizes & Incentives: $900 a. Writing Competition Prizes: $700(1st: $400, 2nd: $200, 3rd: $100). b. Engagement Rewards: $200 (gift cards). 5. Finale Event: $300 (venue permits + printing). b. Hybrid Tech: $150. 3. Marketing: $300 a. Social Media Ads: $200. b. Recap Video Production: $100. 4. Prizes & Incentives: $500 a. Final Writing Competition: $300. b. Non-Monetary Rewards: $200 (mentorship sessions). 5. Post-project sustainability: $405 6. Mentorship: $500 a. Paid Expert Sessions: $500(4sessions at $500 (4 sessions at $125/hr). 7. Contingency: $40 (1.4% of milestone budget).

Deliverables

1. Competitions & Incentives: a. Conduct writing competitions with designated cash prizes. b. Host open mic nights featuring engagement rewards (merchandise/gift cards). 2. Mentorship Programs: a. Organize 4 expert sessions at $125/hr and recognize volunteer mentors with thank-you gifts. 3. Final Events & Sustainability: a.
