Overview

In order for non-technical parents to safeguard their children in the Internet environment, it is crucial to develop an application that can automatically analyze the content of a website. It is simpler and less expensive for parents and guardians in developing nations. This tool employs natural language processing (NLP) technology to identify child-sensitive internet content. The sensitive information may include sexual content, negative thoughts, hatred, violent content that encourages self-harm or even suicide, etc. By using AI algorithms, this tool can identify sensitive information without requiring the construction of a blacklist domain, as many other alerting solutions do.

The core problem we are aiming to solve

Children spend more time than ever before online nowadays. They may encounter sensitive content when surfing the Internet that has a harmful impact on them.Protecting children is the responsibility of parents and guardians. However, many parents and guardians are unaware of where and when their children encounter sensitive Internet content. They do not even know how to configure the list of harmful websites (i.e., the blacklist) necessary by many computer monitoring applications. In order for non-technical parents to safeguard their children in the Internet environment, it is crucial to develop an application that can automatically analyze the content of a website.

Our specific solution to this problem

Our solution assists parents in analyzing the behavior of their children. Thus, guardians can immediately protect their children from the Internet's dangerous content that children are difficult to recognize.We design the AI tool, which runs as an extension of a web browser. The AI core includes the state-of-the-art NLP techniques to process collected data from websites.We have developed many CV and NLP-based tools for web services using Python, TensorFlow, NodeJS, and ReactJS. The advantage of our solution is that it is very easy for non-technical users (e.g., the parents).

Project details

The tool works:

(i) The guardians or users download and install the tool as an extension of the web browser.

(ii) The guardians or users input the email to receive information from the tools.

(iii) When users (e.g., children) using the browser to get information from Internet, the tools analyses and processes collected texts and images.

(iv) The core AI returns the score of sensitive level of collected texts and images.

(v) If the score of sensitive level is larger than a threshold, the tool will send the notification to the registered email.

(vi) The guardians get the notifications, and they can respond to the tools. This helps the tools can improve the AI core for better predictions in the future.

    This is a good proposal, but I think we need some more explanation on the architecture of the protection system and the SNET Marketplace, concerning payments and Browser extension configurations. Will there be web scraping involved with getting data from the website? Overall, this will be a useful tool, but have you considered the market share available for such a product considering most Browsers have this all figured out? Regards

    What happens when the kids, presumably digital-native, deactivate the browser extension or use their own tablets? I'm curious about the team's previous experience in browsing security with apps, not browsers, that present a risk to children.

      Thank Seirayun, Yes. McAfee Safe Family, Kaspersky Safe Kids and Net Nanny also have features to detect malicious websites, phishing scams, and inappropriate content. But as far as I know, None of them running on Singularity.NET platform and using AGIX as token of payment.

    Hello! I noticed that you are not planning to onboard any of your services to our AI platform, nor use any service already available on the platform. This is a requirement of our 'New Projects' pool. Without this, you will not be eligible for a reward. Would it be possible and feasible for you to onboard the underlying AI-services to the decentralized AI platform? (We are aware that this is not yet properly addressed in the proposal form by means of a warning or such, and hope we can improve on that before DFR4)

    Useful but needs more factors

    I find this a potential and very useful idea. But so that readers can clearly understand how your software works, you should have more evidence so that the community can better understand what you are doing. For example: a video describing how your software works and how it analyzes data? Although I think this is not a really new idea, your project proposal is quite desirable and worth experiencing, hoping to see your project succeed one day.

    Programmer\'s professional level

    The suggestion is great and I continue to wait for the full version for mobile devices - it may be a simple app to use but highly effective.
    Verifying the correct content that is not suitable for children relies heavily on NLP algorithms, so the programmer of this project's conditions must have extremely good qualifications. I wish this proposal would be funded soon and launch a product as soon as possible.

    A good proposal worth further consideration

    This proposal outlines the building out of a useful tool in today's internet for kids, with good intentions behind it, but overall, more work needs to be done on the proposal to show the advantage it brings to SingularityNET, the architecture between SNET systems and Browser config systems and lastly, the extra spice it brings to the internet safety space to compete with the multiple big players that have this figured out.

    The proposal might consider apps too

    I think security has always lagged behind the commercial opportunities of the web. With not only browsers but apps also presenting a security risk to youth, comprehensive tools are needed that work not only in browsers but with apps as well.

    Interesting AI but not yet utilizing blockchain?

    This project is very interesting, because it will protect the generation of bad content. The proponent's explanation for making this a browser extension is certainly very possible because by activating it, it will detect content accessed by children and will provide a warning to the registered email. But is this AI just an ordinary application and doesn't utilize blockchain or web3?
