Project details

The Human-Centered AI Solutions for Inclusive Technologies project focuses on addressing the critical issue of inclusivity and accessibility in current AI technologies. Despite the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, many AI systems still fail to adequately serve people with disabilities and marginalized communities. This deficiency leads to a significant digital divide, exacerbating existing social and economic inequalities. This project aims to bridge this gap by developing AI tools and frameworks that are designed with inclusivity at their core, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, socio-economic status, or demographic background, can benefit from the advancements in AI.

    Prepare a budget income and expenditure table

    I think $5,000 is a reasonable amount to implement this proposal. It is not expensive compared to what the proposed results bring in reality (of course remains to be seen). Anyway, it is better to prove the reasonableness of using money with the budget income and expenditure table. Doing so is great for financial transparency.

They had the idea of ​​creating a solution that involved developing a comprehensive, human-centered approach that integrates advanced AI capabilities with comprehensive design principles.
    The solution is good but there is one piece of information in the proposal that they should share in more detail. They should share more detailed information about members, and they should share members' social network links.

    What is the dimension of the Problem?

    This proposal brings awareness to something very important to consider in the process of AI development, and that can be neglected in some AI Models developed. However, I would like the proposal to dive deeper into addressing the problem and the real dimension of the Problem. How many people are interested in using certain AIs and are not able to, and what kind of accessibility limitations are usually the worst for users? 

    In terms of Bias Detection, while that is a very useful framework, it’s also important to understand what will keep the algorithms detecting biases, from being biased in the first place?

    While this is an idea with merit there might be concerns in terms of the feasibility and the impartiality of a bias detection mechanism. Especially, because depending on the context biases might be useful for the effectiveness of the AI model in the real world.

    In terms of accessibility, that is actually a great idea that could help democratize access to AI, so very aligned with the Singularity Net Mission. 

    However, it would also be important to understand the market, the complaints of individuals, and the size of the opportunity there.

    There is also a need to create some kind of business model to make sure this would be a valuable idea, and to understand whether individuals are willing to pay for this solution.

    In terms of the Team, I would have loved to have some links and just overall some more information about each team member and their experience, skillsets, and achievements to be able to better understand the feasibility of the Proposal.
