Overview

FemAI explores the idea of creating an AI-powered platform designed to empower women to take control of their health and well-being through personalized, accessible, and evidence-based solutions. This idea leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to offer a comprehensive suite of features addressing various aspects of women's health like reproductive health, menstrual health, fertility tracking, pregnancy and postpartum care, menopause management, sexual health, pelvic health, mental health and general wellness.

However, despite advancements in technology, many women still face barriers to accessing quality healthcare services. This research proposal seeks to explore the utility of artificial intelligence (AI) in providing digitized access to healthcare for women. By leveraging AI technologies, we aim to develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this domain, with the ultimate goal of designing an effective and user-centric digital health solution for women.

Objectives

  1. Investigate the Current Landscape: The first objective of this research is to conduct a thorough examination of the current landscape of women's healthcare, including the challenges faced by women in accessing and receiving appropriate care. This will involve reviewing existing literature, analyzing healthcare data, and conducting surveys or interviews with women to gather insights into their experiences and needs.

  2. Assess the Potential of AI: The second objective is to assess the potential of AI technologies in addressing the identified challenges and improving access to healthcare for women. This will involve exploring various AI applications, such as natural language processing, machine learning, and predictive analytics, and evaluating their relevance and effectiveness in the context of women's health.

Milestone 1 - Project and Market Research

Description

This milestone aims to establish a foundational understanding of the current state of women's healthcare, identify gaps and challenges, and assess the potential for AI-driven solutions. This phase will gather insights from existing literature, market analysis, and initial user research to inform the subsequent development stages of the FemAI Health Assistant project.

Milestone 2 - Technical Architecture

Description

Here we will develop the framework for FemAI based on the research findings and patient needs assessment. We will also define our platform's core features functionality and user experience. We will in addition create wireframes and mockups to visualize the platform's design and user interface. We will develop the technical documentation and architecture for FemAI outlining the system requirements data flow and integration points. We will also define the technology stack including AI algorithms decentralized infrastructure and security protocols. We will in addition document the development process and workflow.

Milestone 3 - Stakeholder Feedback and Iteration

Description

This milestone will focus on gathering feedback from stakeholders including hospitals medical associations advocacy groups and technical experts on the conceptual design and technical documentation of FemAI. We will incorporate these feedback mechanisms to iterate and refine our project's direction and implementation plan.

Deliverables

Our deliverable here will be a stakeholder feedback report summarizing input received on the conceptual design and technical documentation along with a revised project plan.

    One of the problems in this area is that the LLMs are not trained on proper data for female health. Can you say more about the training data? The success of this project is dependent on the quality of the training data.
