Overview

Today, we have bad nation states and actors who are hacking and breaching to steal data and harvest it for decryption later. We are also facing an impending cyber armageddon. When Quantum Computing is fully realized it will be able to crack all of today's encryption, putting large LLMS, blockchains, and crypto (digital assets) at risk. Entrokey has patented a way to harness the only continuously occurring natural event in the universe with enough entropy and randomness to defend against quantum. Entrokey provides entropy and quantum resistant keys as a service. Entrokey's solution is easy to implement, cost effective, and requires no changes to existing infrastructure and protocols.

How Our Project Will Contribute To The Growth Of The Decentralized AI Platform

Entrokey will ensure the security and privacy of the projects, companies, and consumers that choose to use our quantum resistant keys, key pairs, pads, and/or entropy as a service. SIngularityNet's marketplace participants will be among the first to have their data, blockchains, crypto, websites, etc.. be truly protected against quantum attacks and today's problems for harvest now, decrypt later attacks.

Entrokey's founding executive and advisory team has deep experience in cryptography, cybersecurity, AI, high performance computing, and digital identity. The team has founded and built companies and teams from day 0 through publicly traded companies both domestically and internationally.  The team includes people from CLEAR, KPMG, ImageWare, Oak Pacific, Google, XPrize, and Qualcomm, to name a few.

The core problem we are aiming to solve

Bad nation states and actors are already doing harvest now, decrypt later attacks. Within the next few years quantum computing will be fully realized and all of our sensitive data, websites, digital assets, communications, blockchains, etc. will be succeptible.  Quantum computing will crack all current encryption techniques.  Entrokey's solution is a scalable, easy-to-implement, and cost effective solution to push back the threat of quantum at least 10 years.

Our specific solution to this problem

Entrokey's patented solution uses hardware that is able to capture truly random data with enough entropy from the only continuous occuring natural event in the univers with enought randomness and entropy to provide quantum resistant keys, key pairs, pads, and entropy as a service via API calls or on-premise by seeding existing hsm and kms systems.

Competition and USPs

Current post quantum solutions are trying to create the new internet using heavy algorithms and new protocols that don't work well with existing classical computing.  These algorithms are not, and cannot be fully battle tested and many have already failed and are showing other vulnerabilities. In addition to those issues, many are using pseudo random number generators using computers to get enough entropy for seeding, but computers are inheritently predictable and lack enough entropy to withstand quantum computing attacks, especially when combined with AI.  Entrokey has a cheap, scalable, source of truly random data with enough entropy to deliver this today that works with all existing encryption keys and infrastructure.  We like to say you don't have to change the locks, you just have to change the keys.

    Hi there. I would suggest that for this project, there is need for thorough validation and testing of Entrokey's patented solution to ensure its effectiveness and reliability in providing entropy and quantum-resistant keys. Given the critical nature of encryption and cybersecurity, any service claiming to offer protection against quantum computing attacks must undergo rigorous scrutiny to demonstrate its efficacy in real-world scenarios.

      Hi Gombilla, I think your suggestion is spot on. What we are raising the money for will allow for us to go through that type of testing, and also we will be providing transparent entropy and randomness scoring for every key.

    Exceptional Business Model

    As a former business executive at the company who invented FIDO (the cryptographic key technology behind Passkeys adopted by Apple, Google, Amazon, eBay, PayPal, and hundreds of other companies), Entrokey is solving one of the biggest problems in cybersecurity today. Entrokey is creating entropy-based cybersecurity keys for securing digital access (of every kind) using cryptographic keys based on chaos (random noise). As I understand it, entrokeys do not require algorithms (and therefore cannot be unencrypted). This makes the cryptographic keys secure b/c a computer did not encrypt them and if truly random- also quantum resistant. Since the RSA cryptographic key is close to (or already has been) hacked using quantum computing or Open AI, traditional RSA and cybersecurity encryption is vulnerable. Entrokey solves this vulnerability.  Entrokey has a brilliant team with proven backgrounds in new ventures and successful exits.  Their patent(s) and GTM personal orbits make them uniquely valuable to every digital company on the planet - in my humble opinion.

    Less is More (Quantum Style)

    I've worked in many fields. Blockchain. Zero knowledge proofs. Quantum physics. And digital.

    The simplicity of their approach is what makes this amazing. Where most other innovation tend to rip out the old infrastructure to put something new in. IE. EV charging stations vs. Gas Stations. Or Blockchain vs. Traditional Finance

    Their approach literally can be adopted to any existing infrastructure. While also having unparallel protection capabilities.

    Detail technical factors

    The video that Entrokey cited is the most concrete demonstration of the feasibility of this proposal. I'm very interested in this video and seeing the team's desire. But it seems that the two milestones with their brief presentation do not express the desire as I expected. I recommend that the team clearly demonstrate the technical elements, and at the same time explain them in detail so that the community can understand.

    This proposal will address the challenges of quantum computing. They will use hardware capable of capturing truly random data with enough entropy from the only continuously occurring natural event in the universe with enough randomness and entropy to provide keys, key pairs, pads and quantum-resistant entropy as a service via API calls or on-premises by seeding existing hsm and km systems.
    I feel that they should share more details about the team. And they should determine the start and end times of milestones.

    Eric Dresdale: 3x founder with 1 exit. 15 years experience in fintech, cybersecurity, biometrics and digital identity.

    Richard Kane: AI and high performance computing researcher with multiple highly referenced patents. Multi-time founder. Inc 500 founder. 

    Chief Data Scientist is former Chief Scientist of NSA and CTO of IARPA (can't be formally named yet)

    Patrick Hearn: Held executive level positions at Thompson Reuters and oversaw Government Division of the Americas for Idemia

    Advisory Team includes people from XPrize, Google, Qualcomm

    If this project scales through to completion, the team will have to take on an extra task of convincing organizations to adopt Entrokey's solution, particularly if they are skeptical about the threat posed by quantum computing or the feasibility of quantum-resistant encryption.     First hand knowledge

    I've known Eric Dresdale for several years and can vouch for him. He's a person of high integrity and his team is composed of superstars from across security and identity industries. I've seen footage of his devices in action so I know first hand that his project is real. The value of being able to generate quantum resistant keys through the marketplace is clear. I can see this being a valuable / marketable marketplace service on it own.

    But you do not have any supporting data on the company to show that you can actually do this. Also, your TEAM area has a CEO named David but I can see no other data and no other team members. I am not sure that without knowing who on the team has the knowledge, experience and background to build this complex hardware.

Due to the sensitive nature of what we are working on we have made the decision in these early days to have very little presence online.  We do not want to invite attention from adversarial nation states and actors yet. The CEO is David Harding.  David has 30+ years experience as a CEO and CTO with both private and publicly held companies.  He has worked specifically in the Cybersecurity and Digital Identity & Biometrics fields for the past 20 years and holds mulitple patents.  We cannot reveal the name of the Chief Data Scientist yet, but he was Chief Scientist at a three letter agency for many years, and CTO of IARPA.  The company, team, and product are all very real and top of class.
