We propose the establishment of an AI in Education Community Hub in Africa, starting from Nigeria, as part of the Deep Funding Community Hub initiatives. This hub will focus on leveraging AI to improve education accessibility, quality, and innovation across the continent. The initiative will foster a decentralized community of educators, researchers, and developers dedicated to integrating AI solutions into education systems. The Hub will engage new members passionate about AI-driven educational transformation, host online and offline discussions to share insights and challenges, and build a collaborative ecosystem supporting AI-powered learning tools, research, and policy recommendations.
We are seeking individuals to lead and manage Deep Funding Community Hub initiatives. These initiatives aim to establish and foster decentralized Deep Funding Communities centered around specific topics or areas of interest where a dedicated community would be valuable.

The primary objective of these Community Hubs is to expand Deep Funding in a decentralized way. This involves engaging new members, providing information, sharing best practices for submitting funding proposals and building strong, collaborative communities. Regular online meetings will also be an integral part of these initiatives to connect, grow, and support the community.

The Hub Launch Setup and Operations milestone lays the foundation for a structured and engaging community. It begins with the creation of a dedicated Discord channel to facilitate discussions collaborations and knowledge sharing among members. A comprehensive six-month operational roadmap will be developed outlining key events engagement strategies and major milestones to ensure a well-coordinated approach. Additionally strategic onboarding initiatives will be implemented to attract and integrate new members fostering an active and inclusive ecosystem. These efforts will establish a strong starting point for the hub driving long-term growth and meaningful contributions to AI in education. The requested budget of 900 is for the 3 team members at 300 each per month to get all the deliverables done.
This milestone focuses on establishing the foundational structure necessary for the smooth operation and growth of the AI in Education Hub. A dedicated Discord channel will be created to facilitate seamless interaction collaboration and engagement among members. Also a well-defined six-month operational roadmap will outline the Hub’s strategic direction including major events engagement strategies and key initiatives to ensure sustained growth. To drive awareness branded promotional materials will be developed for the Hub’s launch. At least 30 new members will be actively recruited and onboarded ensuring early participation and contribution. As part of the launch activities an interactive X Space session will be hosted on the official NexTrend Labs X handle to introduce the Hub discuss its goals and engage with the wider AI and education community. A complete Hub brand design mockup will be finalized including logos banners and other marketing assets ready for the printing of 75 branded materials to support upcoming activities. Additionally suitable venues for the five major events planned in the first six months will be inspected and the availability for the major 5 events in each month is confirmed. Lastly any supplementary information required to support a successful launch and ensure operational efficiency will be compiled.

Additionally, a six-month operational roadmap will be developed, clearly defining major events, engagement strategies, and key initiatives. This document will be shared with deep funding to align with the Hub’s direction. To drive awareness, high-quality promotional materials, including flyers, banners, and social media graphics, will be designed and prepared for both digital and print use. At least 30 new members will be onboarded into the AI in Education Hub, with an introductory session to familiarize them with the Hub’s objectives. A public X Space session will be hosted on the official NexTrend Labs X handle, introducing the Hub and engaging the AI and education community. Branding elements, including logos, banners, and templates, will be finalized, ensuring 75 sets of branded materials are prepared for printing. To support major upcoming events, venue inspections will be conducted, and locations for five key events over the next five months will be secured. Lastly, any additional documentation required for launch readiness and operational efficiency will be compiled and submitted.
The Hub Operation milestone spans three months focusing on continuous engagement through biweekly town hall meetings biweekly X-Space sessions and one major in-person event per month with at least 50 attendees growing exponentially over time. These activities will strengthen community participation increase awareness and foster strategic partnerships to expand the Hub’s reach and impact. A budget of 5382 has been allocated to sustain operations. The core team consisting of three members will receive 300 per month each totaling 2700 for three months. Venue booking for major in-person events will accommodate 50 to 80 attendees at 199 per event amounting to 597 for three months. To capture and document these events professional photography and videography services will be provided at 120 per event summing up to 360. To drive social engagement and encourage participation in town halls 100 per month is allocated totaling 600 over three months. Additionally 75 branded sets including T-shirts face caps and other materials will be produced for distribution at major events. Each set will cost 15 with 15 sets distributed per event amounting to 1125 for all five major events. These activities will ensure the Hub’s sustained visibility engagement and long-term growth.

Event Documentation: Professional photography and videography for each in-person event to capture key moments and create promotional content. Community Incentives: Social engagement activities and participation rewards to encourage town hall involvement. It includes four biweekly town hall meetings to foster discussions gather community feedback and drive engagement. Additionally four biweekly X-Space sessions on the NexTrend Labs official X handle will ensure continued virtual interactions and knowledge sharing. The period will also feature two major in-person events each with a minimum of 50 attendees aiming for increasing participation and strengthened partnerships. A total budget of 2838 is allocated to sustain operations. Team compensation accounts for 1800 covering a 300 monthly stipend per team member for three members over two months. Venue booking costs are 199 per event totaling 398 for the two months. To maintain quality documentation and visibility photography and videography services will be provided at 120 per event amounting to 240. To encourage active engagement in town halls and community discussions 100 per month has been set aside for participation incentives totaling 400. These initiatives will ensure consistent interaction an expanding membership base and the formation of strategic partnerships that solidify the Hub’s long-term impact.

To enhance visibility and maintain records photography and videography services will be provided for both in-person events. Engagement and participation in town halls and community discussions will be encouraged through dedicated incentives. Additionally the team will ensure smooth operations with structured planning and execution ensuring all deliverables align with the Hub’s long-term objectives.
