This proposal lays out our vision to establish a dynamic community hub in Nigeria—one of Africa’s most electrifying tech landscapes where AI and blockchain are taking off at lightning speed. Our Nigeria Community Hub will be a buzzing hive of innovation, bringing together developers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts to learn, collaborate, and rapidly launch bold new ideas. With regular meetups, workshops, and real-time updates on Deep Funding’s wide array of opportunities, we’ll ignite local talent and shape the future of AI and blockchain in Nigeria—and beyond!
We are seeking individuals to lead and manage Deep Funding Community Hub initiatives. These initiatives aim to establish and foster decentralized Deep Funding Communities centered around specific topics or areas of interest where a dedicated community would be valuable.

The primary objective of these Community Hubs is to expand Deep Funding in a decentralized way. This involves engaging new members, providing information, sharing best practices for submitting funding proposals and building strong, collaborative communities. Regular online meetings will also be an integral part of these initiatives to connect, grow, and support the community.

During this milestone (Month 1) we will establish the core team structure set up communication channels (Telegram/Discord) and conduct our first introductory webinar on Deep Funding and the Nigeria Community Hub. Create a Twitter account for Deep Funding Nigeria. We will also begin initial outreach to local tech communities and universities.
Team & Channels: A finalized team roster plus active Telegram/Discord groups with at least 50 initial members. Twitter Launch: A dedicated Twitter account for Deep Funding Nigeria. First Webinar: One online event covering Deep Funding essentials recorded and shared via our social channels for future reference. Community Onboarding Materials: Basic guides on how to join the Hub participate in discussions and stay updated on Hub activities. Monthly Townhall: Initiate a recurring Townhall to engage members, gather feedback, and align on immediate next steps.

During this milestone (Month 2) we will conduct interactive proposal-writing workshops deepen community engagement and begin forging formal partnerships with local tech hubs and universities. The goal is to equip members with the knowledge to craft solid Deep Funding proposals while expanding the Hub’s reach across Nigeria. Double (100%) the overall membership in our social media channels (Telegram, Discord) compared to the baseline from the end of Milestone 1.
Proposal Workshop: At least one virtual session dedicated to guiding members on key elements of successful Deep Funding proposals. Local Partnerships: Initiate at least one new partnership with a university tech incubator or AI/blockchain group aimed at co-hosting events or providing mentorship. Membership Growth: Achieve a 100% increase in Telegram/Discord membership from Milestone 1’s final numbers. A dedicated Twitter account for Deep Funding Nigeria, aiming for at least 250 followers by the second milestone’s close. Monthly Townhall: Continue monthly community updates, feedback sessions, and Q&As.

Workshop Participation: Minimum of 40 live attendees at the proposal-writing session, evidenced by sign-in or chat logs. Membership Milestone: A twofold (100%) increase in social media channel membership compared to the close of Milestone 1. Monthly Townhall Hosted: Sustains transparency, encourages new proposals, and keeps community momentum high. Partnership Outcome: Establish a documented collaboration (e.g., MOU or announcement) with at least one local institution or tech hub, laying the groundwork for future joint activities.
During this milestone (Month 3) we will strengthen community expertise through mentor matching and host at least one in-person meetup (where feasible) to foster deeper connections. We will also conduct advanced workshops for refining proposal ideas building on the foundational knowledge gained in Milestone 2. The Nigeria Community Hub will serve as a robust pipeline for AI products in Nigeria, fostering innovation through structured calls for proposals. Our team will meticulously scrutinize submissions to ensure alignment with Deep Funding objectives and Nigerian market potential.
Advanced Workshop: A webinar or training session focused on fine-tuning project concepts and integrating advanced AI/blockchain techniques. Mentor Matching: Identify and connect at least five mentees with established AI/blockchain professionals to guide proposal development. Local Meetup: Organize one in-person gathering in a key location (e.g. Lagos) to expand community bonds share success stories and encourage peer-to-peer learning. Membership Growth: Achieve at least a 10% increase in Hub membership across all channels compared to the previous month.

Mentor-Mentee Pairs: Five successful matches documented, with follow-up check-ins to measure ongoing progress. Meetup Participation: A minimum of 20 in-person attendees, evidenced by a sign-in list or photo documentation, showcasing tangible growth in offline community engagement.
During this milestone (Month 4) the focus is on guiding community members through the final stages of proposal preparation and submission to Deep Funding as well as reviewing Hub performance against defined KPIs. We will also ensure ongoing mentor-mentee engagement refine event strategies and solidify partnerships for continued success. Beyond identifying potential projects, the Hub will offer tailored support to shortlisted initiatives, guiding them through the Deep Funding application process with mentorship, proposal refinement sessions, and resource matching. Our initial focus will be on projects demonstrating tangible progress, such as MVPs or Proof of Concept, ensuring that supported proposals are both viable and investment-ready.
Proposal Submission: Support at least three community-driven proposals in reaching full submission status for Deep Funding. Mentor Follow-Up: Conduct check-ins with mentors and mentees to track proposal progress and gather feedback for improvements. KPI Assessment: Produce a formal report comparing membership growth event attendance and proposal development against monthly targets identifying lessons learned and next steps.

Completed Proposals: A minimum of three proposals submitted by Hub members to Deep Funding. Mentor Engagement: Documented updates from at least five mentor-mentee pairs, indicating consistent collaboration. Performance Insights: A comprehensive KPI report showcasing quantitative achievements and qualitative insights, used to optimize further community-building initiatives.
During this milestone (Month 5) we will focus on scaling the Nigeria Community Hub consolidating partnerships and developing a strategic plan to ensure long-term sustainability. Activities will include assessing the success of early proposals expanding local meetups into additional cities and identifying pathways to maintain or grow the Hub beyond the initial funding period. Strategic partnerships will be established with leading blockchain clubs such as Web3 Unilag (@Web3Unilag, web3unilag.com), alongside other student and tech communities across Nigeria. These alliances will amplify outreach and foster grassroots engagement.
Partnership Consolidation: Formalize at least two additional partnerships (with universities tech hubs or AI groups) to support ongoing community events and outreach. Multi-City Expansion: Organize or co-host at least one meetup outside the initial target city (e.g. Abuja Port Harcourt) to broaden geographical reach. Long-Term Strategy Document: Compile a strategic roadmap outlining objectives funding options and operational processes to guide the Hub’s growth post-initial funding.

In this final milestone (Month 6) we will conduct a thorough evaluation of the Nigeria Community Hub’s performance compile a comprehensive report and solidify the transition plan for any subsequent expansion or handover. This includes final KPI checks collecting community feedback and strategizing next steps to maintain or escalate the Hub’s momentum beyond the initial funding period.
Final KPI Report: Consolidate metrics from all previous milestones (membership growth event attendance proposals submitted expert onboarding) into a detailed summary. Community Feedback: Conduct surveys or focus groups to gather qualitative insights from participants mentors and partners on successes and areas for improvement. Transition Plan: Develop a clear roadmap outlining how the Hub will continue post-project including leadership succession potential funding avenues and partnership extensions.
