Overview

We aim to build a model for generating custom music e.g. to be used as background music in videos, podcasts, and games. Additionally, the model can also serve to provide a personalized listening experiences by generating custom, mood-adjusted tracks using state-of-the-art gen-AI methods.

Our team's main strengths is the combination of expertise in blockchain development and a solid background in audio generation technologies. One of our team's members has practical experience with AI-based sound generation models and is familiar with contemporary methodologies in this field. Both team members are passionate audiophiles, bringing a deep personal interest and critical ear to the project.

This project will contribute to the growth of the SNET platform by introducing a versatile, AI-driven music creation service. This service addresses a broad market need—ranging from content creators looking for unique background music to individuals seeking personalized music experiences based on their mood. By providing a decentralized solution, the project aligns with the growing demand for privacy-respecting, user-centric applications with pay-as-you-use monetization.

During the ideation phase, the focus will be on understanding the specific needs and preferences of potential users through surveys and feedback on initial concepts. This step is essential for identifying the most desired features and music genres. Additionally, this phase involves evaluating different AI models and techniques to assess their suitability for dynamic music generation.

An unlikely but possible outcome that could prevent us from submitting a complete proposal in the next round is if the user surveys indicate a lack of need or interest in a decentralized custom music generation model. Should the feedback suggest such lack of interest, it might redirect our focus or halt further proposal development in this specific direction.

The core problem we are aiming to solve

The core problem we aim to solve is the limited access to decentralized, customizable music generation tools that match the capabilities provided by centralized providers. While models exist that can produce unique, mood-adjusted background tracks, they are often restricted within centralized platforms. Our project aims to provide similar functionalities through the decentralized SingularityNET platform, enabling broader access and control, fostering innovation, and respecting user sovereignty over data and content creation.

Our specific solution to this problem

The "Custom Music Generation" project aims to provide a decentralized, AI-driven solution for creating custom music tracks that adapt to various needs like video backgrounds, podcasts, games, and personal listening moods. By utilizing advanced generative models and the vast capabilities of AI sound and music generation, our solution will empower users to generate music tailored to specific scenarios without relying on centralized platforms.

AI sound and voice generation leverages machine learning techniques and large datasets of audio to create new sounds. Models such as autoregressive models, variational autoencoders (VAEs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), and transformers analyze audio data represented as waveforms or spectrograms. These models can generate realistic music and sounds by predicting sequences of audio data or transforming input descriptions into soundscapes. 

Our platform will use these technologies to offer users a pay-as-you-go service on SingularityNET, ensuring access to high-quality, customizable music generation without the need for expensive subscriptions or compromising privacy. Additionally, our approach will include regular updates and improvements based on user feedback and advancements in AI research, ensuring the platform remains at the cutting edge of technology and user satisfaction.     However, the team would have to consider the fact that navigating intellectual property rights for AI-generated music can be complex, especially concerning the originality and ownership of the generated content. Kudos to the team !

    - The team has expertise in blockchain development and a solid foundation in sound generation technology and has practical experience with AI-based sound generation models, so I think the team is completely capable of implementing successfully this project. The group provided a fairly detailed and specific project implementation plan, further increasing the feasibility of the project.

    Commitment should be demonstrated

    Deep_phil is the project owner of some of the proposals in this DFR4. Once again the question of Feasibility and Desirability arises as I fear there will be a fragmentation of personnel and overall time budgets will be affected. To confirm that what I just mentioned does not exist, I recommend that the team commit to the quality of this proposal and that the proposals are project-owned by the team.
