What is the solution for long-term attendance?

Africa Townhall has been very prestigious for a long time, almost all the proposals the team makes have received a wide response from the community. I think this proposal is no exception. I just have a question to further clarify that solution: I realize that with the full reputation of Africa Townhall, it still does not attract many participants to periodically organized events, so how can we increase it? Attract new people, and still keep old people from leaving the organization? Thank you team.

    Engaging Africa

The proposal for the Africa Townhall as part of the SingularityNET ecosystem presents a compelling and innovative approach to promoting decentralized AI across Africa. The plan to leverage a series of townhall events to educate and engage the tech community is particularly promising, offering both scalability and adaptability. The dedicated team behind this initiative, including experienced professionals like Daniel and Afia, adds credibility and ensures a focused execution. However, the proposal could benefit from more specific details on the metrics for measuring success and a clearer outline of post-event follow-up strategies to maintain momentum. Overall, this project seems well-positioned to boost SingularityNET's visibility and adoption in Africa.

The team should focus on selecting and presenting knowledge and information that highlights the transformative power of SingularityNET on the technology landscape to promote SingularityNET adoption in the African technology community.
Proposing a lack of specific quantitative data and ways to measure project success. The team should add to increase accountability, for example: the number of event attendees, participant feedback, number of new projects, number of people participating in the ecosystem,... Through these, The team considers adding data and overcoming shortcomings to help the project survive in the long term.

dynamic community initiative, aimed at promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing in the blockchain sector across the African continent. This project focuses on raising awareness but also aims to drive SingularityNET adoption within the African tech community. With a series of Town Hall events, the project opens up opportunities for education, discussion and collaboration, connecting enthusiasts, experts and stakeholders to explore the transformative power of SingularityNET. The project promises to create a favorable environment for the growth of SingularityNET in Africa, while ensuring its success as a leading AI market. Africa Townhall

This project aims to raise awareness and drive adoption of SingularityNET within the African technology community. Through a series of engaging town hall events, the proposal will highlight SingularityNET's potential and relevance to Africa's technological advancement.
Town Hall is an important idea and should be implemented in many areas. However, maintaining active participation of community members is very important. The team should consider solutions to maintain regular participation of community members.

    A project lacks specific information

The proposal aims to organize Africa TownHall events to raise awareness of SingularityNET's capabilities for technology enthusiasts, professionals, and decision-makers. Many issues need to be clarified. How many Africa TownHall sessions will be held? Additionally, how long will each session be shared about the SingularityNET ecosystem? I need to know if the amount of TownHall sessions that will be shared about the SingularityNET ecosystem fits within the $10,000 budget. What have been the Catalyst Africa team's achievements in the previous 50 TownHall sessions? I mean how many TownHall participants managed to develop a project in the blockchain space? This will be a good frame of reference to determine the project's output. Finally, what is the expected number of participants per TownHall session?

Disconnect & Duplication of Proposal Intent

    • Feasibility:
      • In terms of the information that is provided in the proposal, the majority of statements are personal perspectives without any reference to actual data findings. Though Africa Townhall, if one is familiar can be tracked and gauged their reputation in delivering speakers and contents in the Cardano ecosystem.
      • This proposal suffers from inconsistency between their "Proposal Description" and their "Milestones & Budget". Whereas in their "Proposal Description" it is mentioned that their main goal is to conduct Townhalls as their main delivery tool to educate and reach out to the African community. While in their "Milestone & Budget" it is mentioned that their largest emphasis is conducting research, market analysis identifying potential partners. There is a mentioning of continued virtual events but it is not the main delivery point hence the disconnet with proposal intent.
      • Ubio Obu as the dedicated researcher of this proposal, has a similar proposal with different team yet similar goals, which is to create a research on the landscape of Africa's AI growth and potential collaborators where that proposal is called "SingularityNet Africa Community" hence the duplication of proposal intent.
      • Based on the proposal intent that is heavily focused on conducting Townhalls as a tool for education and outreach, it should be expected to have milestones that support those actions, as an example; conduct bi-weekly Townhalls that shares materials on the SNET ecosystem, contact funded proposals of DF to become speakers in Townhalls etc. such as what the Africa Townhall team has done in the Cardano ecosystem.

    • Viability:
      • There are 3 (three) aspects that need to be clearly identified in this type of proposal. One would be correlating background which in this case should be around Community Management, Content Creation, Project Management, Translation and Indepth AI Knowledge, pre-identified potential market for this proposal and a verifiable team.
      • From the details provided regarding team members, the team can not be easily verified by any external links. Though if someone is familiar with the Cardano ecosystem, the individuals involved in Africa Townhall are indeed developing their Townhalls and moderately successful. It is unclear though, if their stated competency in this specific proposal can be verified and does actually translate to them being able to deliver this proposals intent.
      • Target market is very general, where they only mention a specific region. Which they then seek to clarify further by doing indepth research. Not an ideal approach for an intial guiding parameter could have been done with no to limited cost as a backbone for this proposal. Funding a research that leads to another research and eventually leads to learnings from these research seems to be an ineffective in identifying a problem and creating a solution for it. There should be a process of trial-and-error from the inital research to then come up with a conclusion and future actions.
      • What is more concerning though, is their number of proposals one of the team members have submitted and is a part of. With findings as follows:
        • Blockchain Researcher (position in this proposal) : 7 proposals

    • Desirability:
      • WIthout initial vindicated data on their statements, gauging desirebility on what is provided will be far from objective. Doing initial research is fairly straightforward, one could do a simple Google/online research and formulate those vindications. (i.e. https://www.statista.com/outlook/tmo/artificial-intelligence/africa#market-size)
      • In terms of Africa as a target for SNet, it is desirable but would need specific targeting. Again one could do a simple Google/online reseach to identify which country and with whom in that country should SNET collaborate with.

    •  Usefulness:
      • The main issues of this proposal, is Project Management and General Intent. There is a team member involved in multiple proposal where their skillsets and experience differ. Seeing that this is a key aspect, which is project management, this proposal would have effectivity issues. If the team were to keep it simple and avoid overusing the word "research" and focus their core delivery of Townhalls that educates and create outreach for SNET and DF would be more effective.
